Apple Cake with Rum Sauce

4 cups apples, chopped

2 cups sugar

1/2 cup oil

2 eggs, beaten

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 cup nuts, chopped

2 tablespoons vanilla

2 teaspoons cinnamon


1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup half and half

1/2 teaspoon pure rum extract

1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla


Mix all cake ingredients together & pour in greased 9x13x2 inch pan. Bake for 1 hour in 350 degree oven.

RUM SAUCE: Bring all just to boil. Remove from heat and pour over hot apple cake.
