18 cups water
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
6 sticks cinnamon (or 1 tsp ground)
12 cloves whole
1 1/2 cups regular grind coffee
Combine all except coffee. Bring to a boil. Lower heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes. (May do this ahead.)
When ready to serve, put syrup in coffee urn, put coffee in basket and perk.
