12 lasagna noodles
1/2 cup parmesan cheese grated
CHEESE SAUCE:
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup butter or margarine
4 cups milk
1 cup Swiss cheese shredded
1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
1/2 cup parmesan cheese shredded
COTTAGE CHEESE MIXTURE:
2 cups cottage cheese
1/4 cup parsley snipped
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon oregano
2 cloves garlic crushed
Make white sauce with salt, flour, butter & milk. Cook till thick, stirring often. Add swiss, mozzarella and 1/2 cup parmesan cheese. Stir till cheese is melted.
Cook & drain lasagne noodles.
Mix cottage cheese, parsley, basil, salt, oregano & garlic.
Layer in greased 9x13 casserole:
1/4 of the cheese sauce, 4 or 5 noodles, 1 cup cottage cheese. Repeat layers, ending with cheese sauce. Sprinkle with 1/2 c. parmesan.
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Let stand at least 10 minutes before cutting.
Serving Ideas: Serve with salad, broccoli or asparagus & crusty rolls
