Farmhouse Barbecue Muffins


1 tube (10 oz) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits

1 lb. ground beef or pork

1/2 can catsup

3 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon cider vinegar

1/4 teaspoon chili powder

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese


Separate dough into 10 biscuits; flatten into 5” circles. Press into bottom & up the sides of greased muffin cups. Set aside. Brown & drain ground beef. Mix ketchup, sugar, vinegar & chili powder. Add to meat & mix well. Spoon the meat mixture into biscuit cups, using about _ cup for each. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 19-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes before removing from pan.
