1 box German Chocolate cake mix
3/4 cup butter softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped nuts optional
1/2 gallon box ice cream (vanilla, butter pecan or mint)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Mix cake mix, butter, sugar and nuts until consistency of cookie dough.
Spread in 15x10x1 pan.
Bake 12-15 minutes.
Run knife around edges and cut in thirds. Cool.
Crumble each third of the cookie – food processor works best.
(Put crumbs into 2 bowls and a 9x13 pan)
9x13 pan – spread crumbs evenly
Remove ice cream “block” from carton and place on cutting board.
Cut in half – cut 1 of the halves in slices and carefully lay on top of first layer of crumbs.
Sprinkle1/3 crumbs on top of ice cream.
Cut the rest of the ice cream in slices and carefully lay on top of the crumbs.
Sprinkle remainder of crumbs on top of ice cream.
Freeze at 2-3 hours. ENJOY!!
