Fruit Cake Cookies


1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup butter

2 eggs beaten

1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

1 1/2 tablespoons milk

1 1/2 cups flour

1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 1/2 teaspoons allspice

1 lb. chopped dates

1 lb. pecan halves or pieces

2 lbs. candied pineapple

1 lb. candied cherries

1 wine glass brandy


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease cookie sheet.
Cream brown sugar and butter. Add beaten eggs. Dissolve soda in milk. Sift flour, cinnamon and allspice together. Add to creamed mixture. Stir in dates, pecans, fruits and brandy. Bake 10-15 minutes.
