Fruit Cobbler


1 stick butter or margarine melted

1 cup flour

1 cup sugar

2 tsps baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup milk

2 cups fruit fresh or canned drained


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In oven, melt butter or margarine in baking dish sprayed with Pam. Sift dry ingredients and stir in milk. Then pour batter over melted butter, but do NOT stir. Arrange fruit evenly over batter. Do not stir. Bake for about 1 hour, or till nicely browned. Serve warm. Top with ice cream or Cool Whip.


Notes: Fresh blackberries or peaches are wonderful. Canned peaches are also delicious.
