Italian Soup 2


2 qts chicken broth

28 ounces Italian tomatoes canned

1 env onion soup mix

3/4 lb smoked turkey sausage thinly sliced

2 cups hot water

1 1/4 tsps basil

1 1/4 cloves garlic minced

2 tbsps parsley

1 teaspoon dried sweet pepper

1 tablespoon dried celery leaves

8 ozs pasta any shape

1/2 cup tiny pasta such as orzo


Combine all but pasta in soup pot & simmer briskly 1/2 hour. Turn to Low, add pasta and cook till pasta is tender.


Notes: Serve with crudites or green salad and breadsticks or crusty rolls.
Serving Ideas: Sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan Cheese.
