Kansas Peach Cobbler


4 cups sliced peaches unpeeled

1 cup sugar

1/2 tsp almond extract

1/2 cup butter melted

3/4 cup flour

1/2 cup sugar

2 tsps baking powder

pinch salt

3/4 cup milk


In a bowl, gently toss peaches, 1 cup sugar & extract. Set aside.

Pour melted butter into a 2 quart baking dish (or 8” square pan).

In a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt & ½ cup sugar. Stir in milk & mix well.
Pour evenly over melted butter. Do not stir.

Top with peach mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
