Lohoefener Red Cabbage

chopped onions

red cabbage, thinly sliced or chopped

1 cup red wine

1 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons cider vinegar

salt and pepper to taste


Saute onion in a little oil until limp. Add cabbage.
Combine wine, sugar & vinegar and pour over cabbage. Cook & stir 30 minutes or longer.
