Magnolia Pie (Buttermilk Pie)

1 cup sugar

1 stick butter room temperature

4 tablespoons flour

3 eggs slightly beaten

1 cup buttermilk

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 ½ teaspoons vanilla

1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell


In large bowl cream together sugar, butter and flour. Mix in eggs, buttermilk and vanilla.
Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake for 1 hour or longer at 325 degrees or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool and serve.
