2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp coffee
1/2 tbsp salt
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp thyme leaves rubbed
1 tbsp smoked paprika
This is ample rub for 3 12-oz steaks 1 ½” thick.
Combine all rub ingredients well.
Rub all sides & edges of 1 ½” steaks, KC or Ribeye. Use plenty of rub so that a crust will be formed as they cook.
Poke a few holes in the steaks with a large fork.
Refrigerate for several hours before bringing to room temperature to grill.
Grill to 130 degrees. Let stand for 10 minutes.
Slice & serve the steaks.
