2 cups light brown sugar packed

1/4 cup water

1//3 cup butter

2 cups pecan halves


Lay out a covering of magazines on the countertop. Top with waxed paper.

Combine sugar, water & butter, Cook slowly, stirring constantly, until mixture boils. Add pecans.
Continue to boil slowly stirring constantly until it reaches 246 degrees (firm ball) on a candy thermometer.

Remove from heat & quickly drop by tablespoons on waxed paper.
