Scalloped Asparagus


3 cups cooked asparagus

4 tbsps butter melted

2 tbsps flour

2 cups milk

1/2 cup grated cheese


3/4 cups bread crumbs

2 tbsps butter


Place asparagus in casserole. Blend butter, flour and milk. Cook slowly till thick, stirring constantly. Add cheese and salt. Pour sauce over asparagus; sprinkle with crumbs tossed with melted butter. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
