Spiced Bacon Ribbons



1 cup brown sugar packed

2 tablespoons dry mustard

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon cayenne

1 pound bacon regular, not thick


Mix dry ingredients together. Store in a tightly-covered jar or other container.

Cut entire pound of bacon in half.
Press sugar mixture into both sides of each individual bacon strip. Thread ribbon-style on wooden skewers.
Place skewers on rack over a foil-lined cookie sheet. (Use one with sides to keep bacon grease in.)

Bake about 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
