Tomato Pudding


1 stick butter

3/4 cups light brown sugar

5 cups bread cubes soft

1 can tomato paste (10 1/2 oz)

1/4 cup water

1/4 teaspoon salt


Melt butter, pour over bread cubes and toss. Heat remaining ingredients together & simmer about 5 minutes. Pour over bread cubes, toss, put into buttered casserole. Cover and bake for 45 minutes at 325 degrees.


Serving Ideas: Serve for brunch or with turkey or ham.
