White Chocolate Macadamia Cookies


1 cup butter, softened

3/4 cup sugar

3/4 cup brown sugar, packed

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 eggs

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 1/2 cups flour

3/4 cup macadamia nuts, halved

2 cups white chocolate chunks or chips


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream butter with sugars. Add vanilla and eggs. Gradually stir in dry ingredients. Fold in nuts and white chocolate pieces.
Spoon rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 6-7 minutes until firm and pale brown. Let cookies sit on cookie sheet for a few minutes to firm before cooling on a wire rack.
