stick butter or margarine

soda

vanilla

buttermilk

well beaten egg

tablespoons
cocoa
5
tablespoons
milk
1
stick margarine or butter
1
box of powdered sugar
1
teaspoon
vanilla
pecans
Instructions
Bring these to a boil (at low heat):
- 3 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup oil
Add the following:
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Mix with electric mixer.
Then Add:
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 well beaten eggs
Pour into greased and floured pan. (Batter will be thin)
Bake 20 to 30 minutes or until done at 350 degrees.
Frost while hot with the following icing:
Bring the following to a boil:
- 3 tablespoons cocoa
- 5 tablespoons milk
- 1 stick margarine or butter
Add 1 box of powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and pecans if desired.
